These narrow general purpose band saw blades are used to cut a variety of common materials including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and softer metals such as brass. General purpose blades are often in maintenance shops where a variety of materials are cut so blades don't have to be changed between cuts. Narrow band saw blades are up to 1/2 wide and are flexible for making curved cuts on vertical band saws.
